Elizabeth Lombard Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 10 to Apr. 11, 2022.
It is with great sadness that her family announces the passing of Liz Lombard at Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills, CA. She had been ill from various progressive conditions for a very long time. Liz was born to Kathryn and Newton Estes, the youngest of three children and three step-children. She graduated from Everett High School and attended Western Washington University in Bellingham where, in 1965, she met and married Louis Morrison, a Canadian citizen. Liz and Louis returned to Canada where they had two children, while Liz maintained dual citizenship. When Louis received a lucrative job offer, they moved the family to New Zealand, where Liz began working for thirty years in local and federal UK government positions. Having been divorced and done raising her children, Liz retired and returned to Everett, WA to help her widowed mother. Liz loved music and sang in church choirs wherever she lived. In 2004 she met and married her current husband, Larry Lombard, at the Everett First Presbyterian Church. When her mother required extra care, they entered her into a Board and Care facility in 2009. At that point, Liz and Larry moved to Laguna Woods, CA to help with his widowed mother. Liz is survived by her husband, Larry; her two children, Kelly (John) Cudby and Don (Kim) Morrison; four grandchildren, her sister, Sarah (Wayne) Pommer; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services are pending in Laguna Woods, CA and Everett, WA. May 20, 1945 - January 15, 2022

Prayers for the family for comfort and peace at this sad time. I knew Liz growing up in Everett through grade school and Camp Fire. We participated in drill team (Seagals) and graduated together from EHS, started college in Bellingham in 1963. Part of Camp Fire was the Horizon program while in high school where we shared many experiences together like conferences at Warm Beach Camp. I"m sorry we lost touch with each other once Liz moved to New Zealand, and I'll carry those childhood memories with me of a loyal friend while I did know her. God bless. Helen Smith

When I started second grade my family had just moved to Madrona. On my first day of school, I rode the same bus as Elizabeth. The bus took a different route home, and I was lost. Elizabeth took me to her house and promised she and her mom would find my home. From that day on, we were friends and graduated high school together. I will always have fond memories of her. My thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow.
