Elizabeth Mitchell Obituary
Elizabeth passed from this world in the early morning hours of January 5, 2023.
She did not die. She was born. She escaped a life of torment and suffering and is risen from the darkness, not removed from life into death. Jesus defeated death for her and for all of us.
She fought cancer for thirty-four years, never yielding, with courage and faith. Her pain has ended, and now she has joined the Light and the Truth, leaving suffering behind.
All who knew her were blessed by her beauty, strength, and grace.
Elizabeth was the daughter of Harry Lee Moran, Jr (deceased) and Edith Gonterman Moran (deceased). She is survived by her husband, Rob Mitchell, and three children: Kevin, Melissa, and Chandler Penn; and her siblings: Michael Moran (Sharon), Sarah Moran (Mick Puckett), and Scott Moran ( Diana). Also, two beloved Aunts: Lynn and Phyllis, many cousins, and friends too numerous to mention. Family and friends will always hold her memory in love and joy.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2822 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. Reception to follow.

All I know is my mother was the one whom kept us all looking foreward. I am her eldest son and miss her dearly. She allways told me to keep looking ahead in life, never stop,and trust in GOD

I had the pleasure to work with Dr. Mitchell at MSD. She was wonderful human being and always provided great advice and wisdom. She fought her illnesses with dignity and strength. God Bless her soul and prayers are lifted for her family. Rest Well my Friend.
