Elizabeth Hope Jimenez-Prieto, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

She was born on March 1, 1945, in Montrose, Colorado, to Jesse Jimenez and Stella Avila. Elizabeth graduated from Olathe High School and went on to work as a CNA in the healthcare field for three years. She later retired from the Russell Stover Candy Factory.

Elizabeth held a strong and lifelong faith in the Catholic Church. She had many interests and hobbies, including sewing, artwork, music, dancing, fashion, and she was especially known as a wonderful cook. Elizabeth had a "tell it like it is" personality and was a perfectionist in the best sense of the word. She was friendly, outgoing, and loved to joke and make others laugh.

She was deeply dedicated to her family, a hard worker, and always willing to help others.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Lynn Caton; her parents, Stella and Jesse Jimenez; her younger brother, Rick Jimenez; and her older sister, Lillian Medher.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra S. Crespin and Emilio Crespin; her siblings Theresa Valdez (Leonard-deceased), Becky (Silver) Manzanarez, Jesse Jimenez, Debbie (Melvin) Madril, her grandchildren, Christian Caton and Emilio J. Crespin (Shaylynn); her great-grandchildren, Ellie and Kinsley Crespin; and a soon-to-be-born grandson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Brown's Cremation and Funeral Service, with a graveside service immediately following at Olathe Cemetery.
