ELIZABETH HUNTINGTON SEELOS

SEELOS, ELIZABETH HUNTINGTON March 28, 1917 to Jan. 26, 2013 Elizabeth Seelos of San Diego passed away at age 95 from complications after hip surgery. Liz was born in Queens, New York City, to Charles Burchard and Adele Watson. The family, with four children, moved to Venice, CalifornIa in 1920. The family then moved to San Diego in 1925. Liz graduated from Hoover High School and then married Robert Seelos, whom she met in San Diego, after he finished boot camp at NTC. They were married in 1937 until CDR Seelos death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Gerard and Charles Burchard, and her sister Adele Lines. Liz was an active member of the San Diego Watercolor Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She and her husband most recently lived at White Sands of La Jolla. She is survived by her son, Robert Seelos, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Seelos, and two grandchildren, Robert Seelos in Manhattan and Marisa Seelos in Brooklyn. She will be buried next to her husband at El Camino cemetery. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
