Elizabeth Szoke Obituary
Elizabeth E. Betty Szoke, 87, of Lehighton, died November 4 in Lehighton. She was the widow of Paul M. Szoke who died in 2003. Born in Weissport, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Sallie (Beidleman) Klotz. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Lehighton. Survivors: daughters, Elizabeth, wife of William Schlittler, of Allentown, Marjorie, of Lehighton; and son, James, of Lehighton; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Paul J.; brothers Kenneth and Horace Klotz; and sisters, Daisy Nothstein and Lottie Kane. Services: 11 a.m., Monday, November 8, Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport with the Rev. Michael E. Ahrensfield officiating. Call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday. Interment: St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Lehighton.
