Elizabeth C. Taylor (Betty), age 95, of Wilmington, DE died on November 30, 2016 at the Broadmeadow Nursing Home in Middletown. Betty attended St. Anthony's Church, St. Thomas School, and Wilmington High School. She worked for Bell Telephone and ICI as an operator. She enjoyed family & friends, ceramics, embroidery, golf, and the beach. She loved spending her summers in Broadkill Beach, DE and winters in Boca Raton, FL. She was preceded in death by her first husband James A. O'Neill (Rube), second husband Roy Taylor, daughter Kathleen Taylor, and niece Carol Jewett. She is survived by her daughter Patricia O'Neill, Brother Buddy Carney and his wife Edie, Sisters; Kitty Durnan, Anne Marie Donovan, Peggy Sharp and her husband Steve all of Wilmington; her Grandchildren Cari Flowers, James Sheehan, Michael Sheehan, Brooke King, Courtney Blackford and 8 Great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10:30am at Saint Joseph's on the Brandywine Church, 8 Old Church Rd, Wilmington, DE 19807. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local VFW.
