Elizabeth Vest Obituary

BRISTOL, Va. – Elizabeth Kaylor Vest, age 90, passed away on March 23, 2005, at the Cambridge House.
She was the daughter of the late Lee and Margaret Dishner Kaylor, and was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. She was retired from Big Jack Manufacturing with 34 years of service and was a member of Shakesville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Vest; brothers, Verl Kaylor and Everette Kaylor; sister, Vivian Kaylor; half-brother, Hugh Kaylor; and stepbrother, Ralph Gill.
Survivors include daughter, Anna Vest Combs and husband Jim of Bristol Virginia; son, Kemper H. Vest and wife Linda of Bristol Tennessee; special sister-in-law, Ruby Kaylor of Bluff City; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Marty Greene officiating. Committal services will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Honorary pallbearers be grandsons and great-grandsons. The family would like to say a special thanks to the Cambridge House and to Caris Hospice for their kindness and loving care. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
