Libby was the wife of my mother (Alice Welty Jones) cousin Robert Welty. The Welty lineage is a strong one which Libby carried with grace and dignity. She knew no stranger and loved passionately.

Elizabeth was the grandmother I never had. For the past 20 yrs she was always there for me and everyone else too. She has left us all a beautiful legacy in so many ways. We will all miss her more than words can express.

Thank you Dr. Welty. We will miss you dearly. Sincerely, your friends at the YWCA

Dr. Welty truly represented what it means to be "a Y woman". From her early years of providing care for women at the YWCA to her more recent financial support of programs to empower women and provide refuge for those in crisis and transition. We appreciate all that she was and will miss her dearly.

Dr Elizabeth more of less brought me up! I worked in the office for her and Dr Robert for 18 years until Bender & Wigert took over and then remained another 12 years in the practice. I was privileged to assist her in her private life after her retirement. She was my mentor, my confident, my business advisor and my much loved friend. What an honor to have her in my life. I will miss her often and for the rest of my life.

Dr. Welty made a huge difference in the life of classical music in Spokane and beyond with her generous support. She had recently made a gift of support to the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint (Idaho) to enable the school to bring the Spokane String Quartet to our town to perform at the Panida Theater as a benefit. As a result her support of the arts here will live on in the children who will receive scholarships to learn to play an instrument, or to sing. She was pure love, and how lucky we all are that she graced us with her smile and laughter. I will miss her so much! Thank you, Elizabeth, for being a miracle in my life! Jane Fritz

Blessings on all of Elizabeth's loved ones who are grieving her loss. I have had the deepest respect for her and was so grateful for the support she offered St.Joseph Family Center and to me personally as the former Director. She was an inspiration to me and a great encouragement in our mission of wholistic healing-counseling, spirituality and body-work.
