Ella Oppenheimer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from May 4 to May 5, 2017.
Ella Frances Ward Oppenheimer, age 81, has left all of us her love and her memories as of Monday May 1st, 2017.

She transitioned from being surrounded by the friends and family still with us, to reuniting with her son, her sister, and all those already content in the company of the Lord. 'Fran' was born in Panama City on July 27th, 1935. She led a rich life, pursuing her medical career, raising a family, her battle with breast cancer, experiencing the world, and never failing to lose her sense of wonder or bringing delight to all the lives she touched. As she was known to say often, "Ain't Life Grand?, Ain't God Good?"

Fran is survived by three daughters: Marcia Burgans, Brenda Dixon Branch (Johnny) and Virginia Dixon; twelve grandchildren: Jason Dixon, Richard Dixon, Diana Jackson, Christina Jackson, Melissa Evans (Cary Boyette), Julie Branch, Natalie Branch, Carla Branch Atkinson (Alex), Joshua Branch, Iris Farrand (Morgan), Rachel O'Neal (Jay Osumanu), and April O'Neal: and 17 great-grandchildren; countless others called her "Gran Fran" due to her ever-loving nature. She deeply loved and appreciated Dr. Bruce Josten, Dr. Tom Maner, Dr. George Reiss, and Dr. Frank Lu.

Her presence will be missed but her influence continues to be felt, as she was grand and truly good.

A Celebration Of Life will be held Monday, May 8th, 11:00 am at Unity of Panama City, 1764 Lisenby Ave., Panama City, Florida.

I cannot believe it has already been 6 years since God took you home, my friend! I know that heaven receives angels every minute of every day, but I could imagine that upon your arrival, all of them stopping what they were doing and having a look at you, to get an idea on what one of God's favorites looks like. I pray for continued comfort of your family through every day without Ms. Fran. God's Peace!

I am so sorry to have missed Fran's passing. She was so nice and caring. The one of my cousins who made me feel welcome and 'Ok' about everything. She was a beautiful woman, with beautiful children that brought a smile into the room when she entered. She will be missed by all. Each time I see the beach I will be reminded of her and how much love the heart can hold. I wish I could give her children the peace she gave me when my father, Conley, passed. Again, I was blessed to be a part of her life.

This was a very special Lady and I am grateful that our paths crossed those many years ago,in Mobile. and at Little Burstead House in England. She always saw the good in life. Jeremy

Ms Fran was one of the nicest people I had ever known. With her great sense of humor, warm and welcoming smile, and forgiving nature, she truly was a gem. God bless you Marsha for looking after Ms Fran. God's peace to you and your family
