Its been 21 yrs you passed away. The years have gone by quickly sometimes and not so quickly other times. Guess thats called Life.. We wish you a good HEAVENLY Birthday today up high with Dad and many other family members. It pretty nice here today so getting more like spring. Weather pattern has changed since you left earth.

Lots to see kids and grandkids and others we know. Wish you could have been here to meet all of them thats for sure. I see Kathy and Hailey are doing such a great job of sending you photos of different families and stages in their lives. We surely thank both of them for thinking of you and us in taking the time to do that.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Dad & Mom!

Happy 112 Birthday Mom,

Wish you were here to celebrate your birthay. It doesn't seem possible you have been gone 21 years.

It's a typical Memorial Day weekend but more sunshine than usual.

We are in Milwaukee celebrating but mostly doing yard work as the Dandelions and weeks have taken over the entire yard. We are raking leaves we left last fall and taking one area at a time.

We celebrated Barry's 81st birthday last week with family by eating downtown at St. Paul's Fish Market in the Historical Third Ward.

Haven't talked to many relatives except Stacy who is busy with Deli orders. Last week Kendra graduated from high school.

Hi Dad,

Today you left us 38 years ago. It doesn't seem possible all those years have went by.

I don't think you would like the world as it today. It was more peaceful when you were here from 1905 - 1986. The weather has changed dramatically. It's all about computers, laptops, internet, cell phones and social media.

Many of our family members are in heaven with you but we are thankful for our sons, grandson, brother, sisters, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephew.

Hi Mom & Kenny,

I wanted to share a picture of Kenny's Grandson Oliver in 2021. Zak is married to Fleur. They had a baby girl in August, 2024. They live in Rapid City. Fleur is an Endodontist and just did Root Canals on Barry's teeth. Zak is still working in the Eye Care business as a Ophthalamic Plastic Surgeon. They have two
dogs and enjoy all outdoor activities.

Mom you have another Great Grandson Oliver and Great Granddaughter.

Thinking of all of you in Heaven as Danny and Dianne have joined you.

Happy 111th Birthday Mom,

It's been a cool weekend in Deadwood this week but lots of fun. We went to a concert on Friday night and one last night with hundreds of people. It was cold and we needed a warm jacket and gloves. Two more days of activities as there is something to do every day in Deadwood.

We are getting ready to go to a Slot Tournament at First Gold and dinner. Tomorrow a party at Gold Dust own by Kesslers and Lamonts from Aberdeen.

Stacy & Hailey are planning on visiting us in June and we hope to show them some historical places.

Thomas will be graduating from high school June 7th.

We are having lots of health problems but that's too expected as we are aging. You always said "wait until you get to be my age."

Miss you forever and all the rest of our family that are with you in Heaven.

Happy Birthday Mom! Gosh it would be your 111th as you so well know. That would be an almost unheard of length of life tho as we all know. You had a nice life of 91 yrs without a lot of health issues so we all appreciated that for sure. Its a nice sunny day today and tomorrow is Memorial Day as you also know. We will stop out to Sacred Heart to visit and bring some pretty flowers that you enjoyed this time of yr.

We have one new Great Grandaughter to tell you about. She is Rowan Rae Heintzman and Is Sam and Rachel Heintzmans first child. We have not met her yet but have seen photos and she is a pretty precious baby girl. We now have five" Great Grands "as I call them. Probably have more to add sometime in the future!

Hope your birthday today is a happy one with all family that have joined you up there especially Dad and Bobby and Glo and Kenny,and all of your and Dads siblings as well.

Happy 119th Birthday Dad,

We have had 2 Snow Storms, one on Easter Sunday and another the next Sunday. We have a couple of feet of snow in Deadwood, SD but it's suppose to be 60 degrees on Friday. Weather changes hourly here.

Thinking of you today and missing you but you have many family members with you now. I think we have more family and friends who have passed away then we have alive here on Earth.

today is kind a spring day and thats good as we are sick of snow but you would not believe how the climate has changed and the wind blows so much of the time .NOT just a little but very brisk. I suppose that means summer could be interesting.

Merry Christmas Mom and Dad, Kenny , Bob & Glo,
and all loved ones that have passed from this life!

Weather has been really nice this fall and winter but changed a lot yesterday. Real danger of falling and breaking bones etc. We stopped out to Sacred Heart and left a Christmas Wreath on the big Smith Headstone this yr instead of on Yours and Dads. Grandpa Jerry Smith, Dads dad did in fact have that nice big stone put there in 1946. I dont remember if we ever spoke about that stone when you were on earth so I checked with a deacon at the Church Office. Sacred Heart Cemetary is now expanding across the road to the west. Im glad we will all be near one another on the east side off the road.

Sam Was married at the beginning of 2023 and now going to be a Dad in May of 2024. He married a nice gal named Rachel who is a Nurse here at Avera or St. Lukes as you knew it. Kate and family were here and we were invited to watch their kids Graham 2 and a half and Scottie their daughter who just turned 1 yr open their gifts this yr. That was fun and different. Jon was there and is not married yet and Kates husband Michael was there, Saw Rob and Jaci for a while Christmas Day. Gail has retired and Todd said he will never retire ! He works a lot and doesnt rest much.

Guess thats all that happened around these parts for Christmas 2023! Wanted to send our prayers and thoughts and love to all of you and other family members that we keep in our hearts as well!

Hi Mom,

I didn't forget about you on your death December 10, 2004. It was 19 years ago we were at your bedside as you left us and God came for you. We didn't want to let you go but your suffering was ending and you were at peace.

Stacy, Hailey, Jesse and I texted and remembered You. The years have flown by but we all remembered you and how you kept the Family together.

Now you have Bobby, Gloria and Kenny with you. It doesn't seem possible they are also not here.

Jesse will celebrate his 45th birthday on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. He is always sad that day because we Celebrated your Life that day in 2004. It was cold and windy but little snow for December.

Barry & I bought a fresh Fraser Fir Christmas tree but haven't decorated it. Christmas comes and goes by quickly. .We are in Milwaukee.

The Family wanted you to know you will never be forgotten and we have many Memories of you.

Thinking of you on your birthday today April 10th (1905).

We went to Easter Vigil on Saturday evening at St. Patrick's in Lead, SD. It was a very special service and the real meaning of Easter.

Sunday was a beautiful, sunny day as we celebrated Easter dinner at Legends in the Historical Franklin Hotel in Deadwood, SD,

Finally warmer weather and the snow is melting. We hope to put Spring Decorations out on the deck.

Hi Mom,

We miss you today and remember your long life as you left us on this date December 10, 2004. Thankful Barry, Jesse and I could care for you at that time.

It's been a very mild winter in Deadwood and Milwaukee as we prepare for Christmas, Jesse & Thomas's birthdays and Justin's college graduation from UWM-Milwaukee.

We worked in the yard since coming back November 1st. We got a lot done but the rest will have to be done next spring. We had a professional tree service come out and trim trees. That will help bring more sunshine to the yard.

We will be returning to Deadwood and the beautiful Black Hills for New Years as we share the celebration with our friends. We enjoy seeing the Ball drop at the historical Franklin Hotel as we issue in 2023.
