Stephanie, I know this will be the first heavenly birthday for Ellen. What a celebration she will have there with her family and friends. I hope that thought brings you some comfort as you grieve her departure from this world. Praying for you constantly, Dena

I got to know Ellen and her family in 1977 when I went to UTC on a football scholarship. I learned quickly that I was expected to stay and eat with the family on Sundays after church was over. If not, I better have a good reason why or she would give me that look that I know Scott, Stephanie and Susan would get from her.
She always treated me like one of her own, actually I was her favorite as she would love trying out new foods on me. I was blessed so many ways by Ellen and the family.
Susan, Stephanie and I have been able to rekindle our friendship with each other the last few years. They still love abusing me.
I love Ellen and the family very much. She was "another mother " to me.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my long
Time friend and former co worker, Ellen.
We shared good friendship and family
times over many years. Our children grew up
together in our close community and are
still friends. My sincere sympathy to all the
family. Jeannine Mullin

Ellen was so kind to me after my mom passed away, she offered to be my earthly mom so I would have someone to talk to and know they were praying for me as a mother would. She called me her 3rd Daughter and I called her Mom. She was kind and giving and so very loving. I miss her greatly. But there is no comparison to the loss I know Stephanie, Susan and Scott are feeling. Praying for you all and your families as well. Dena Hudgins

I am so beyond blessed to have the memories of her and her wit. She walked with comfort and purpose, always smiling at us all with her eyes.
Heaven is a great place to be, love you to the Moon Aunt Ellen....always, always.

I was fortunate to work with Ellen at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, GA. Ellen was always so kind and such a great nurse. I know she is going to be missed by all who knew her. My prayers are with the family.
