Ellen was a wonderful singer and friend of mine in college. She landed the lead female role in our Gilbert & Sullivan production of 'The Yeomen of the Guard' when she was just a freshman at Harvard. Later she got me involved in Rep. Markey's first campaign to become Massachusett's U.S. Senator. She was a lively and beautiful soul. I'm so sorry to learn of her passing. My sympathies to her family and friends.

I remember Ellen with such fondness. One of my very good friends in law school, she was full of vim and vigor. Bless you Ellen.

Remembering Ellen today as I came across an old note I made in 2013 after learning of her passing from speaking with Ellen’s father Martin, of whom she always so proud. Hope you’re enjoying Heaven Ellen. Say a good word for us to the Woman upstairs. You were always a strong and courageous person and good friend.

I have never stopped missing Ellen B. Her impact reached far beyond Winchester. She truly inspired those who knew her. As a community college professor, I had the honor of working with Ellen to develop programs that inspired my students to discover their potential and apply their skills to making the world a better place. Today is a day to remember Ellen and continue the work she began.

I met Ellen in law school in Washington, DC. She was a very special person, smart, fun and caring. I'm sure she is missed very much by her family. I'm lucky to have met her.
