It was a pleasure working with Ellen during the years that The Hebrew Arts School became the Elaine Kaufman Cultural Center. She handled the dual roles as Director of Marketing and Director of Development with skill, charm and expertise. And it was during those years that we had the pleasure of witnessing Don's courtship of Ellen. Her office was always filled with flowers. Our hearts are with Don, Rebecca and Ben at this impossibly sad time. Warmly, Roger and Faye Menken Schneier

Ellen and I met at WNYC radio in the mid-80s, then worked together at WQXR for the next four years. She was bright and funny, and a wonderful singer. RIP, my friend. Grateful to have shared some of this journey with you.

Ellen and I worked together for many years in New York City and we were close friends. She was a remarkable force in the music industry. I cared for her very much and we enjoyed many good times together. May God bless her soul.

While I didn´t know Ellen, personally, my daughter, Leila, worked with her very closely many years ago. She has always spoken so highly of Ellen and she was clearly beloved and a wonderful woman. And, an amazing singer. I´m so sorry I said my condolences to Don and his beautiful family. With much love. Kathy Brahimi.

I'm sorry to hear the news of Ellen's passing.
I got to know her when we performed together in a high school play and she was a lovely young lady.
Knowing the kind of person that she was, I have no doubt that she lived her life to the fullest and made the lives of her friends and family that much sweeter.
With condolences to the family, I celebrate the life of a Wonderful Spirit. May her Memory be a Blessing.

Performing along side Ellen in kiss me Kate was an honor and a joy ! Even back then she was generous and kind, supportive and collaborative. I was in awe of her talent and would stand in the wings just to hear her gorgeous voice .may her name be a blessing .

We are deeply saddened at Ellen´s passing. Although we only knew her for the briefest of moments, at the wedding of her beloved son Ben to our beloved granddaughter Stella, an eternal bond was created between us.
May this wonderful woman rest in peace.
We send our sincerest condolences to her entire family.
With love,
Bruce and Beth Hermelee
