Dear Mr. Landsman,
I was just on a phone call moments ago with a dear friend and we were just talking about life in general when Ellen's name came up. She expressed that she had just received a Christmas card from Ellen, only to receive news days later of her passing. Sir, I was devastated and my heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you, your children, and family. We all must know that she was truly an angel on this earth, sent by God to share all the love, care, heart, and smiles that any human being could ever share. I am a former parent of MT. Bethel ES and I am very thankful to have been blessed to cross the path of such a "Warm & Beautiful" person. May God's peace continously shine upon you and your family.

As a teacher at Mt. Bethel, it was my privilege to have had both Francesca and Ansley as students in my class. Ellen was always a very supportive parent and willing to do anything she could to help. She chaperoned field trips and was always a source of encouragement. I am so sorry for your loss.

When I heard the news about Ellen, a flood of memories came to me. Growing up at St. Cecilia Catholic School, I remember Ellen and Beth so vividly as well as their sister Cecilia. They were always smiling and so friendly and nice. I can see them with their GORGEOUS hair and natural beauty. I remember talking to Mrs. Kane at our track meets. I am so sorry for your loss. I lit a candle in Ellen's memory and in prayer for the Landsman and Kane families in the chapel at St. Cecilia Church and you are also in the prayer book. You have been in my thoughts and prayers.
May God's love give you strength and comfort at this time,

To the Landsman family
Please accept the sincerest condolences from a stranger on the loss of Ellen. I know Karen (Strumillo Smith) and was with her when she received the sad news.
From Karen's grief and what she told me about Ellen's place in your family, it was very evident that Mrs. Landsman was beloved of many people and held a special place in all of their hearts.
I hope that the knowledge of how much she meant to so many people can bring you some comfort as you heal from this, and I pray that someday you will be able to remember her without tears or a sense of loss, but rather a serenity that could come from having been part of her life.
I wish you all comfort and peace.
