Ellen Overton Obituary
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory.
Ellen was born May 12, 1931, to Gustav and Louise (Heyen) Tempel in Alma, Mont. She was raised at her family farm north of Chester.
In 1956, she married Marvin Overton in Great Falls.
Ellen worked as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk for 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling with family. In her later years, she liked to play cards, read books, and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sports events and performances.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin Overton of Great Falls; daughters Brenda (Mark) Gruener of Lewistown and Jackie (Mike) Overton Juden of Lolo; a brother, Clinton (Gaynell) Tempel of Great Falls; and grandchildren Matthew and Stephen Gruener, and Emily and Sarah Juden.
Ellen was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Kenneth Tempel; sisters, Margaret Anderson and Dorothy Heydon; and a grandson, Michael Gruener.

Our sincere sympathy for the loss of
Ellen. I worked with Ellen in the 70s
at Pacific Hide & Fur and then when
we bought our first home we lived across the alley from Ellen & Marvin.
We know how you will miss her - she was so sweet. We are truly very sorry. May God Bless.

I wish Uncle Marvin condolences in his
loss. I have not seen either of them
in many years,but have many fond memories
of family trips to Holter Lake. So sorry

I havent seen my aunt (by marriage in many years) but I am saddened
by her passing and wish my uncle Marvin condolences in his time of
grief. I remember as a youngster and a teen ager, all the boat rides at
Holter we took as families. Again all the best to Her children and other
family members.

Ellen was my first lady I got to know at Pulmonary Rehab..she just Smiles so nicely that I always adore her. My not being able to hear was always in the way but not her Smiles. I will Miss You Ellen. Barbara
