Phyllis Swanson

Phyllis Mary Swanson, 87, died July 9, 2008, at Fort Pierce Health Care. She was born in Hartford, Conn., and lived in Fort Pierce for 23 years, coming from Windsor, Conn. Before retirement she worked for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 10 years. She also volunteered at St. Lucie Historical Museum. Survivors include her sons, John Swanson of Essex, Conn., James Swanson of Ellington; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Elmer Swanson. SERVICES: A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. July 12 at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
