No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve. Elliott's charisma and intelligence were nurtured by his devoted mother and family. It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends will carry you through.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

I experienced the joy of Elliott through his grandmother, Sheree Casusol, my dear friend. He was the light of her life and she was ever so proud of him. I know that he brought joy to his Mom and that it was because of her love, devotion and his amazing family that he became the young man that he did. God has received an angel. My prayers and heartfelt condolences are with you all.

I came to know about Elliott from my daughter who is a member of the Tartan Crew team. Elliott had joined the team. I am unable to even begin the comprehend the feeling of loss to you. My prayers go out to you. May you find peace and strength from the precious memories.

Elliott was a remarkable young man that made an impression on people, even those that did not know him personally but knew of him, such as us. Our daughter was a good friend with Elliott at CMU and we were constantly amused at the stories and experiences she had with Elliott such as his unique interpretation of soy sauce when a group of them dressed up as condiments for Halloween. I have shown this picture to many people and I never cease to point out "Fall Out" soy sauce (so clever). I am grateful that my daughter was able to meet such a special person. He leaves a tremendous impact on her and our family. From us to you, we offer our sincerest condolences, prayers and thoughts. We will never forget your beautiful son.
Love,

While I didn't know Elliott, my son did (he lives in the room next door at Carnegie Mellon). My heart is breaking for you; I can't imagine what you are going through. I've been praying for Elliott every day since my son called me early Wed morning (2 AM!) to tell me what had happened. And I hope that you don't mind, but I asked a close friend, Msgr. Charles Pope of Washington, D.C., to say a Mass yesterday especially for the repose of Elliott's soul. May God hold him in His hands and may He help you to bear this tragedy.
