Elliott F. Peralta, Jr. passed away surrounded his loving family on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at his residence in Covington, LA at the age 91. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea War in the US Marine Corp. He retired from Shell Oil CO. after 37 years of service. He was a volunteer at St. Tammany Parish Hospital for the past 13 years. Born, Tuesday, April 26, 1927 in New Orleans, LA to Elliott F. Peralta and Thelma Kiefner Peralta. He was a lifelong resident of Chalmette until 2005 (Katrina) and resided in St. Tammany Parish since. Survived by his loving wife of 66 years Phyllis Knight Peralta, Sons - David E. Peralta, Steven L. Peralta, (Amy) and Daughter - Loretta P. Gill (Tinker), 8 Grandchildren, and 11 Great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his Parents and Son - Elliott "Chip" Peralta, Brother - Elmer Peralta, and Sister - Irma Peralta. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 9:30 AM to service time. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Tammany Parish Hospital Guild. Share a memory on the tribute wall at www.ejfieldingfh.com.

Words can't express the loss of your loving husband and companion, of more than 66 years. Mr. Elliott will always be so special to me!! He always was a very.caring and friendly fella! He was very helpful to everyone he met at St. Tammany Hospital. What a gentleman he was, and a funny fella, he loved his making of fishing lures, he still was trying to catch the biggest FISH!! Lol! He loved his roses, too. If you ever met Mr. Elliott, you would never forget his kindness ,and what a sweet person, Whoa, the biggest smile ever! He will always be in my ❤, as a friend!!! His LOVE for Ms. Phyllis, was beyond the stars!!! My thought and prayers are with the FAMILY, and especially Ms.Phyllis!!! What a LOVE affair!!! He will be missed sadly by everyone he met!!! To Ms.. Phyllis, you know my love for you and Mr. Elliott is everlasting , always in my !! I will miss him forever in my life!!! What a FRIEND, everyday I would think about watching the two of you come in the Hospital ,with the LOVE for each other was beyond belief. I'm so sad!!!. All my thoughts and love to you, Ms. . Phyllis.

I am so sorry to hear about Elliott's passing. I worked with Phyllis at the School Board and we would have so much fun every week bowling with Elliott cheering us on. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
