Elmer Hyde

Mr. Elmer Hyde, 86, of Florence, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011, at ECM Hospital after an extended illness.
He was a native of Lewisburg, Tenn., a longtime member of the Jackson Heights Church of Christ, past board member of the Underwood Community Center, a U.S. Marine World War II veteran serving in the South Pacific Theater and a member of American Legion Post 11, Florence.
Visitation will be 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Ronnie Pannell. Military funeral honors will be accorded at graveside.
Mr. Hyde was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Orlando Hyde and Lorene Ball Hyde; brother, Thomas Hyde; and a sister, Lois.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Frances Criss Hyde; two sons, Elmer E. Hyde Jr., of Cottontown, Tenn., and Glenn Wayne Hyde, of Hideaway Lake, Texas; brother, Earl Hyde, of Cloverdale; grandchildren, Thomas R. Hyde, of Trenton, Ky., Elizabeth Hyde Wise, of Sheppardsville, Ky., Whitney Hyde Frazer, of Whitehouse, Tenn., and Richard B. Hyde, of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Colston and Lillian Hyde, of Trenton, Ky., Abigail, William and Elainah Frazer, of Whitehouse, Tenn., Joshua, Jacob and Lukas Wise, all of Sheppardsville, Ky., and Jackson Hyde, of Dallas, Texas.
Active pallbearers will be elders of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers will include deacons of Jackson Heights Church of Christ.
