Our Uncle Elmer. Such a kind loving man. Always thinking of family and made the effort over the years to stay connected. He was also the best brother to my mom and aunt, and for that I will be forever grateful. I will miss our yearly winter visits in California. So inspiring. Love to all.

I am glad I got to know Elmer after my dad and Lois were married. It was a pleasure to hunt, play cards, and listen to his jokes. He was a good man and will be missed.

My "Uncle Elmer" was awesome! Whenever we visited, he was hospitable and full of good jokes. He loved great stories and had many to share. He was a deep and careful thinker, intelligent and loved the dental profession and his students. When I was a medical student, I learned many things from Elmer about maxillofacial and oral anatomy and embryology. In later years, I had many wonderful discussions with him about theology, philosophy and politics. His viewpoints were always on target and interesting. He shared many book recommendations with me and then we enjoyed discussing them, over the phone or in person. He was the father of a wonderful family; my aunt and cousins; and I will always remember him fondly and with respect and admiration. Rest In Peace, Elmer.
