Elna Ryals Obituary
She and her husband, Aubrey, formerly owned and operated Wessleman's Groceries, where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years.
Elna was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Aubrey Ryals; and her twin sister, Thelma Horton.
She is survived by her daughter, Dee Ryals; grandson, John (Susan); granddaughter, Alicia (Josh); and four great-grandsons, Jeremy, Colton, Ethen and Revan.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. James Cage, with a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Wallace Cemetery in Elva, KY. Friends may visit Friday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the Cage families; her special friend, Carolyn; and the kind staff at Heritage Manor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1040 North Fulton Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710.

We were sad to hear of Elna's passing. She was such a kind and caring person, and we have so many great memories of her from those wonderful Wesselman's days. The family is in our prayers, and we are sorry that we are out of town and unable to visit with you. God bless. Pam and Bob Blessing

Dee, Uncle Jack called and said your mother had passed. I am so sorry for you loss. She was a special lady. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I won't be in Evansville until Monday. How long will you be home? If there is anything I can do please let me know. Hugs, Pam and Art

Donna and I were very sorry to hear of Elna's passing. She was a great neighbor and we enjoyed fun times with her. While we'll be out of town during the funeral, we will be thinking about Elna and her family.
