I would like to share my favorite memories of Uncle El. He did a great deal to make my mom's life comfortable and happy. Just a few short years ago he would drive to High River (even when he shouldn't have), bearing gifts of his home made cookies or canned goods. He would bring lunch and make Mom's day so much brighter. He also brought beautiful plants that Mom nurtured and enjoyed afterwards.I admired the way that Uncle El lived life to the fullest - he was interested in everything it seemed to me. He said what he meant and meant what he said. We will miss you Uncle El - Love to all of his family from Katie & Ross in California.

In remebrance of our dear Uncle El, always attentive to our family, fully engaged and walking the talk, no nonsense, no hesitation, ready to help out, whether it was bringing over his own tools to take down some sheds with Chris in Victoria or showing a very young Kit how to tie his school tie for the first day at school in Vancouver, Uncle El cared and he showed it without exception. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will always remember our Uncle El. love Marjorie Chris and family [Kit, Sarah, Dave, Zoe, Kai, Tea, Hudson].

So saddened to hear of Uncle Els' passing. I was hoping for a visit with him this November. My deepest sympathy to all his family. I have many cherished memories of Him and Auntie Marg on their visits to Vancouver. He was a great story teller and had an enfectious laugh that would make everyone in the room laugh with him. Always lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. I will truly miss him. Rest in Peace Uncle El, and give Mom a hug for me. Kathy (McCall) Allen
