Elsie M. Hiersche

Elsie was a very good friend to myself, brother and family. As my 4-H leader back in the early 50s, she taught me so much regarding my project's and how to get along with other members from all over the area. Elsie was one of a kind and I do and always will miss her.

Indeed, she was a fine woman with multiple abilities. I knew her as my 4-H clubleader in the early 1950s. I also knew her entire family. It was a very good time. Is was with the Ludlow 4-H sheep club that I and my brother Douglas were introduced to the Old Sturbridge Youth Fair in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.She will definitly be missed, she acomplished so much. My best to her memory and to her family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Hiersche was an amazing woman and had an incredible impact on the town.

Elsie was truly an angel here on Earth. I am honored to have known her. She only gave love, kindness and gentleness. I am honored to now teach reading in the same classroom at East Meadow School where she taught reading. She embodied love. My deepest sympathies to every one of you.

All of us in the Bourgelas Family will remember our many trips to the Hiersche Farm. Tom and Elsie were two of the kindest people anyone could meet. Elsie alway greeted us with hugs, she was one of a kind. Bless all of you in this sad time but be happy with the thought that Tom and Elsie are reunited in heaven.....Memories will endure us all.

What a beautiful and caring individual I will always miss her smile and words of wisdom.

We are very sad of the passing of Elsie. She was an inspiration and a role model and a good Christian women. I will never forget that Elsie helped me through a most difficult time in my life. I love her and I will miss her. I am sorry that Bill and I will not be able to attend services. We are in Florida until May.

Hearing of Elsie's passing brought back so many wonderful memories of my childhood. She and Tom were always there to deliver a lamb if needed. What a wonderful mother also. She will be missed but with wonderful memories.

My deepest sympathy to all of Mrs. Hiersche's family. I can still see her infectious smile in my mind's eye. She was my 4H leader about 50 years ago. She was kind, patient, and always encouraging. She was a model of what people should be like to others.
