Elton Ange Obituary
Elton was preceded in death by his father, Elton R. Ange Sr., and wife, Linda Styons Ange.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lorenz Ange; children, Elton Russell "Rusty" Ange III and wife, Nancy, and Janet "Jan" Ange Smith and husband, Frederic Simard; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Russell Ange and Coley and Logan Smith.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00pm Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
A funeral service will be held 10:00am Monday, October 20, 2014 at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, 110 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Hillside Memorial Gardens, 972 Washington Street (NC Hwy 32), Plymouth, NC 27962.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen, P. O. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265-0309 or http://ww5.komen.org/

Dear Ange Family -- I worked for Elton for many years at IBM and found him to be one of the best leaders and coaches I have ever had. I was not alone - he touched many, many IBMers during his long career and we are all so fortunate to have known him and have the honor to have been part of his team. His passion and influence continues in us. I will miss his smile and laugh -- I still remember that so clearly. My sympathies to you and your family.

We were very surprised and saddened to hear of Elton's passing. We worked with Elton at IBM and we both have great moments to reflect on. He was always positive and able to instill the same in others. He enjoyed life and felt there was a time for work, family, faith and friends; a thought he shared with me years ago.

To my sorrow as I read the newspaper this morning I learned of Elton's death. He was our neighbor in Cary for many years as my boys, Brent and Danny grew up with Rusty and Jan. Our heart felt prayers are with the family.

How very shocked and saddened I was to read of Elton's death. I worked with him years ago at IBM and have fond memories of those days. I rarely saw him without a smile. I wish I lived closer to Elton so I could have spent more time with him. He was a caring individual. He taught me how to take his own car to any family event so that he could leave without bothering anyone. I will fondly remember Elton for times like this.

I was very sorry to learn of Elton's death. I have known Elton professionally for 18 years and he was one that made a lasting impression on me. I always found him to be a gentleman in every way and he was one of my favorites. I am very sad as I know many others are. I am glad I had a chance to know him.
