Dear Carol & Family,
My deepest condolences. Yesterday, I learned of Elton's passing while attending a Northlands Volunteer function. Many years ago Elton and Arnold Malone were 4H chaperones and I have some wonderful memories of that experience. I'm glad we got to meet up again a few years ago but am saddened by his loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Karen (Kowalchuk) Herzog

Hi Carol. Gerry and I just heard of Elton's sudden passing today from Les Lyster. We extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. ELton was one of the best mentors I had through all my working career and I so appreciated all that I learned from him. He was a great guy and so much fun! May you find comfort in the many memories. Carol, Bobby, Kelly, Greg and Kids,
I am so saddened to learn of Elton's passing. Only a couple of weeks ago he was getting stronger and then this sudden situation. Your family and ours shared many experiences and fun times as we raised our kids. Having common interests in Ball (bar night), Hunting and Fishing made made for good times and great memories. Elton and Penny shared the same birthday, though a year apart, and that made for fun celebrations. Both are now gone too soon. Blessings to you all.

Carol, we are so sorry to hear of your loss, I feel bad that we lost touch over the years. When we were kids Elton was one of my very best friends and I was so glad he stopped in just over a year ago for a visit. He was one of the last people I thought that would be leaving this soon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time. Unfortunately both Marilyn and I have the flu and it would be best if we stayed away. Marilyn and Bob Thomas

I worked with Elton at the Research Station, and also stayed at the boarding house with him in 1968. He had a great sense of humour. great mentor.
not many of the boarding house gang left.

Dear Carol and family; I was so sorry to learn of Elton's passing. I worked with Elton for several years in the 4-H program. He was a fun, intelligent and practical guy who smoked the stinkiest cigars I have ever smelled! He loved practical jokes and a good laugh. I am glad he took early retirement to enjoy family and all the activities he loved. Thinking of you all. Liz Webster Goddard

My thoughts and prayers go to all of you at this difficult time. I had the pleasure of being mentored by and working with Elton as a 4-H member and staff person. His passion for agriculture and youth were an inspiration for us all. May your memories give you peace and comfort, and know he made a difference in the lives of many
