Elva Harvey Obituary
Elva was a kind-hearted and gentle soul, known for her sweet nature. She had a warm and loving personality that endeared her to everyone she met. Her family and friends cherished her for her genuine kindness and generosity.
Elva had a deep appreciation for her family history and took great pride in keeping up with the Sumner family lineage. She enjoyed jogging and walking, which not only kept her fit but also allowed her to connect with nature.
Elva is survived by her sister, Jean Sumner Baufle, her sons Robert Harvey and Bruce Harvey, her grandson Jason Harvey, and her cherished great-grandsons Nathan Harvey and Christian Harvey. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Samuel Harvey, her father Arthur Sumner, her mother Raye Sumner, her sister Dana Sumner Russell, her sister Mable Sumner Young, her sister Barbara Sumner Hudgins, and her niece Gloria Brinkley Hutten.
Elva Dean Harvey will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and love.

I loved when the whole family would get together for Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as reunions in North Carolina. When mom died, I knew that I could talk to the sisters whenever I needed to, it was Aunt Elva that I called on the phone just to hear her voice and always got information on the Sumner family.
