ELVA M. (POWELL)
On Monday, May 17, 2004, Elva M. (Powell) Lauch, age 85 of McCandless Twp., formerly of Avalon and Ross Twp. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold L. Lauch; brothers, Floyd, Ralph & Earl Powell; and sister, Ruth Deiss; she is survived by loving sons, Edward H. Lauch & his wife Phyllis of Titusville, PA, and Milton K. Lauch & his wife Judith of Lititz, PA; grandchildren, Dawnell A. McCoy of Irwin, Dena Solman of McCandless, Sarah A. Lauch of Washington, DC, and Bryan K. Lauch of Brooklyn, NY; and by great-grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, Benjamin, Joshua & Luke McCoy, and Andrew Solman. Earlier in her life, Mrs. Lauch had worked as a sales representative at Joseph Horne Company in the downtown store. Friends invited on Wednesday from 11am until the time of services at 2pm in the ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC., A GOLDEN RULE MEMBER FIRM, 1014 California Avenue, Avalon (North Boros). In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Forest Avenue Presbyterian Church, 898 Forest Ave., Pgh., PA 15202, where Mrs. Lauch had been a longtime, active member.

Learned of Elva's passing from a cousin in Zelienople. I am a distant cousin. My grandfather was Aldin Powell and my mother was Jessie Powell. I had not seen Elva for years and had even forgotten about her until viewing some old photos the Powell Household down in Beaver County. Another cousin Georgetta Rape Jackson sent me the obituary. Her mother was Stella Powell. Please accept my condolences.

The term "It's an Arizona Sky" will never seem as bright again.

A wonderful aunt who gave us great memories to remember her by on visits to Arizona. She will be truly missed. She could cook and bake with the best of them!!
