ELVA LETZKUS Obituary
Age 66, of Whitehall, on Sunday, November 1, 2015, after a ten month battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of 44 years of Joseph Letzkus; devoted mother of Maureen (Scott) Staub and Stephanie Letzkus (the late Jeffrey Boggess); adoring grandmother of Eleanor and Imogen Boggess and Emmett Staub. Also survived by her mother, Irene De Mare; brothers, David (Trish) Daube and Randy (Lynn) Daube; and many nephews, nieces and friends. Elva's great joy in life was her family. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Germaine Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Elva requested that donations be made to Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 or the Wounded Warrior Project, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant Street, Attn: Donor Services, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Joe and Family,
I was so sad to hear of Elva's passing.
It was always a joy to talk to her. It's been a while since I have seen her but I will always remember how pleasant she was to be around.

Joe, Maureen, Stephanie, and Irene,
It has been many years since we spent those chaotic 4th of July's together on Highgrove Rd. but I will always remember Elva fondly. She was a very nice lady and clearly a devoted wife, mother, and daughter. Elva will be missed by many, no doubt, but the best parts of her will go on in those she loved and loved her.
