Lorraine "Bay" Larisey HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC - Mrs. Lorraine "Bay" Hayne Jeffcoat Larisey of Hilton Head, formerly of Hampton, died Saturday March 8, 2014 at Hilton Head Hospital. Mrs. Larisey was born in Wayne County, NC on February 1, 1939, a daughter of the late Dr. James Adams Hayne, Jr., and Lorraine Evelyn Stahl Hayne. She was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Clemson University, Valedictorian of her class at Wade Hampton High School, and retired as a School Teacher. She enjoyed boating, fishing, Nascar racing, playing cards with friends, and especially Clemson Football. Bay was the widow of David Eugene Jeffcoat and William Stokes Larisey. Surviving are: three sons: David E. and wife Kathy Jeffcoat of Cincinnati, OH, Jay and wife Gary Jeffcoat of Little River, and Robert H. Jeffcoat and friend Virginia White and daughter Sarah of Moncks Corner, one brother: John C. and wife Joye Foster of Varnville and two sisters: Margaret F. Curtis of Ridgeland and Mary P. Foster of Mt. Pleasant. There are three grandchildren: Megan and husband Matt Flannigan, Janie and Shelby Jeffcoat. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry St. West, Hampton, SC (803-943-3352) with burial to follow in Fairfax Cemetery.
