Elwin Smith Obituary
64 of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on January 20, 2011. He was born January 12, 1947 in Minnesota. Smitty enjoyed riding his Harley and Golfing. Smitty is survived by his wife Lora, daughter Jilene, son-in-law David, granddaughters Ainsley and Abbygail, his mother Pearl, two sisters Mary and Patricia, a brother Ken, and many other friends and family. Funeral services will be held on January 31, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Valley of the Sun Funeral home 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd Chandler, AZ. Lora & family,
Seems strange that I should find this site six years after his passing.
I have thought of him often over the years and still do. Having lived with him for approximately three and a half years as a Navy buddy we got to know each other well.
He cared deeply for his siblings. Enjoyed motorcycles, music, photography, chess, and knew the art of conversation. He was definitely a character in the best sense of the word.
Long live his memory!

So glad we had a chance to reunite at our 45th Lourdes Class Reunion this past summer. It was great taking a stroll down memory lane --- all the way back to grade school at St. Pius. Elwin made an impact in a quiet unassuming way and touched many. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. His memory is a gift to all.
