My deepest condolences to the Jensen family.May the god of all comfort, comfort your family during this difficult time of loss.

I just read the obituary this morning and realized that I am a beneficiary of Dr Jensen's magnificent work. About 3 years ago ( at 54) I was diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer. Needless to say it is was a shock - absolutely surreal - especially when I heard how low the survival rate is. Fortunately I live in the DC metropolitan area- one of the best places for medical care and I ended up with two wonderful doctors. I was found to have tumor markers that showed that estrogen therapy could work on me ( thanks to Dr Jenson - whom I had never heard of before today). It did work! So - thanks to my 2 wonderful doctors AND TO DR JENSEN, I have been in remission for one entire year - and have great hopes for a long life. To his family- his work has made the biggest impact that anyone's life can make - giving people (like me) their lives back! I only wish I had known of him and been able to thank him personally during his lifetime

My sincere condolences to the Jensen family. I had the honor of working with him during his tenure at the University of Chicago. We have lost a great person and researcher. His many accomplishments will live on and inspire others to continue research to defeat cancer. God bless!
