Elyse Barkin Obituary
She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Lynne Gans Cooke (Brian Cooke) and Julie Gans (Creighton Cray), and a proud grandmother to Chelsea Cooke (David Hinds) and Justin Cray, and great-grandmother to Leo Hinds. Her family was her heart, and she was ours.
Elyse was a proud member of several institutions that reflected her appreciation for community and culture, including The Breakers Country Club, Club Collette, The Society of the Four Arts, The Harmonie Club, The Lotos Club, and Old Oaks Country Club.
Elyse's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony on what would have been her 96th birthday, August 17, 2025, a day that now holds even deeper meaning for those who loved her.
Donations may be made in Elyse's memory to The Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, Florida, or Temple Israel in West Palm Beach, Florida
