Eméline Landry Obituary
Emeline had a great love of family and friends. She embraced every aspect of life and was always there to brighten the lives of others. She will be remembered for her joie de vivre and her great generosity. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Loving mother of two daughters, Nathalie Landry (Andrew) and Kelly Schmidt (Dave), and her grand-daughter Emilyn. She is also survived by her brother Roger, and her four sisters, Murielle, Denyse (Christiane), Simone (Catherine) and Gracia (Robert); her brother-in-law Rocky (Suzanne) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eméline trained as a nurse and worked in the Maritimes, Quebec, and London (Ont.), before settling in Ottawa. She also taught at Algonquin College and finished her career as a compliance advisor for the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. She is remembered fondly by numerous colleagues for her compassion and strong work ethic.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street, south of Leitrim Rd. on Wednesday, June 27th at 1:00 PM. The family will receive guests in the chapel beginning at 12:30 PM. A celebration of life reception will follow the ceremony at 1:45 PM. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I was very sad to get the news that Eméline had passed away. She had been very generous towards me by giving me plants from her beautiful garden and opening her home to me and my friends to celebrate my 60th birthday. She had a good, but weird, sense of humour that could leave people puzzled for a fraction of a second. She had that wonderful contagious laughter and she loved to sing. I still remember a couple of karaoke evenings. Most of all, she was devoted to her loved ones. She will live in my memory forever. My sincere condolences to her family. We are so sorry to hear of Emeline's passing. She was always so kind and welcoming when we visited both in Ottawa and in Fort Myers. We will miss her smile and warm personality.
