I have great memories of visiting the Lupart's home as a child and venturing down to Mr Lupart's workshop to hear and see all the clocks being fixed there - and especially the old clocks he gave me that I tried to fix, only to have them explode on me and then be unable to find all the parts to put them back together again. I will cherish these memories and many more, and offer my heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Lupart, Michael and Margreth.

As a child I have fond memories of driving up to Edmonton for a visit. We were treated to gourmet food and TV. It was also a privilege to venture downstairs to his workshop to look and listen to the symphony of tick-tock, tick-tock. These memories and many more will always be cherished. Mr. Lupart will be sadly missed.
My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Lupart, Michael and Margreth.

I remember with great fondness the ticking of the clocks, the big cars, and Emil working in his shop….. My sympathies to Margrit and family on the passing of Emil.

Having moved to Edmonton four years ago, we were given the opportunity of getting to know my grandparents. We are grateful for the time we had with my grandfather and mourn his passing. Our thoughts go out to the people closest to him; particularly my grandmother, my mother and my uncle. We wish them great strength in this time of sorrow, may they find solace with friends and family.

From his country of birth, Switzerland, I send my condolences on behalf of my family and myself to my Grandmother, Mother and Uncle and everybody else, who were close to him. I wish you lots of strength during this time of sorrow. I am glad I got the chance to meet my grandfather one last time, when I was visiting Canada during the summer of 2006.

Through circumstances I did not get to know my Grandfather very well personally, but my thoughts are with those who were close to him, especially my Grandmother, my mother and my uncle. Sorry for your loss.

Time stopped just for a moment,
The pendulum, the cuckoo, the wrist watch, the battery clock,
Stopped their tick-tick to let Dad pass through time;
Just for a moment they all stopped.
A pause….. and the tick-tick goes on to tell of the life he lived,
And every tick sends a message:
Being born, growing up in a depression, having so little;
Marriage and having two children in a year,
Learning watchmaking, a precious livelihood,
Immigration, making it in an adopted country,
Children going their way,
Getting older in a strange changing world.
Every tick sends a message of the life he lived;
Discipline, persistence, achievement, professionalism,
Untiring energy, far reaching goals.
The pendulum, the cuckoo, the wrist watch, the battery clock tick on,
Their tick-tick sends a message of lives given,
Five grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
The pendulum, the cuckoo, the wrist watch, the battery clock tick on,
Their tick-tick sends on our message of love, of faith and grace;
Just for a moment time stops,
A pause …… and the tick-tick goes on to tell of a life to live.
