Emilia Ochoa Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 20, 2018.

Emilia Soto Ochoa, age 60 of Purcell, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, at the Norman Regional Healthplex. Emilia was born August 4, 1957 in Post, Texas. She was the youngest of 20 children and the baby girl of Gregorio Aguero Soto and Ysabel Torres. She was raised in Post and attended school there. Emilia married Rogelio Esparza and to this union, 5 children; sons Leroy and Michael and daughters, Delfina, Elsa and Jessica were born. Life was not always easy for Emilia. She worked hard to be the best mother she could be, caring and providing for her young family. She later met Mario Medina, and they moved the family to Purcell in 1989, where they welcomed another baby girl, Jasmine.   Emilia’s greatest joy was her grandchildren. She cherished following them from ball games to their various other activities. She was their biggest fan! Once again, Emilia found love, and she married Jose Ochoa, and two families became one. I sit here and look at this box and I know I am supposed to write something, 5min go by and this is all I can type. There are no words coming to me just the aching pain in my chest and head it's like I'm dreaming kinda but actually knowing that I am not, it's too hard for me to type because I'm not ready to say "see you laters" , oh Tia I can't believe you were picked already by the Lord he gave you your wings and said "fly freely my child" you had such a huge heart and always willing to help out anyone that needed a hand never judgmental never turned your back or held your nose high at any of us nieces/nephew no matter what wrong we got ourselves into and that's what hurts me the most is now I can't just run to your house and cry on your shoulders, I can't hear your wisdom words and you tell me what page to read from the Bible, you always had something up your sleeve to help me get through life when I figured it was all falling apart for me. Now I have to remember that instead of jumping in my car and taking off all I have to do is look at a picture of you and close my eyes and listen and my beautiful angel will guide me through whatever situation I need to get over. Well Tia I can go on and on but I'll save it for another time just know that you will be greatly missed and always loved by my lil family. Roy and Monique Delapaz and the C.A.R kidz (Carmen, Alexander, Roy)

May you rest in Paradise Tia memma

I already miss you tia. You were so giving, always inviting us to go eat at your house. You would cook for all of us. I miss all your stories you shared with us at Mom's house, always making us laugh. You will be missed so much and going to Purcell will not be the same without you. Rip my tia memma.

I love you Tia Mema, I will miss you!! You were an awesome Tia!! I enjoyed you coming to visit those couple of years in July to partake of our Wallace County Free Fair and of course to see me!! I am praying for your children and grandchildren that meant the world to you! You are now their angel. My heart is shattered but you are now pain free in our Heavenly Father's arms.
