Emily, I can't believe it's already been a little over a year now. Words can't even begin to explain how much we all miss you. Once again, I don't think were all ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas without you. It's just not the same anymore. Keep watchin over us Em. We love and miss you more than you can imagine.

A year later and it is just as emotional as it was the second I heard the news. I am grateful I had the opportunity to know her as long as I did and we talk all the time... I still tear up in the car when certain songs come on the radio. She was definitely one of a kind and everyone that got the chance to meet her was impacted by her. I can promise you she will NEVER be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeff, Penny, and Amy everyday.

Em, I am now one year closer to seeing you just saying incase you did'nt know :0) Love you so very much and I will see you when God says it's time.

I miss Emily. She was my cousin and all of us loved her deeply. I wish I knew her better. I regret not being close to her. <3 Emily Blackburn <3

Emily was the best teammate and friend anyone could ask for. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and she never judged. She was always there for me if I needed her, and I know she still is. I will never forget her, and I can say the same for the rest of the UTSA softball team. We loved her like a sister, and can only hope to be more like the person she was. Words cannot express the hurt we feel as a result of her passing, but I pray for comfort and peace upon us all, especially her family. Emily will be missed and always in our thoughts and prayers, and our memory of her will live on forever.

Emily was a true inspiration to all. She lived a meaningful life full of purpose and love. Emily taught us all how to live and be happy with who we are as individuals. She was a wonderful teammate and friend. Emily will be missed by many. She is always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. RIP EAB <3!!! (love always: your traveling roommate)

I am so sorry to hear about Emily. My daughter, Casey Cox and I were remembering some of the fun times she, Emily and Michelle Able used to have in middle school. We did not know Emily however our daughter who was killed on 4-23-2010 in a car wreck by a road rage driver had mutual friends of Emily and may have know her. I do not know the family of Emily. I talked with my oldest daughter she graduated from Spring HS in 2006. She remembers Emily. She understands your loss on many levels as she lost her 13 yr old brother in 2003. I as her mom understand this loss also. You will be forever changed, but thru him the light the wonder we do survive.

Thoughts and prayers have been with your family all week. We only knew of Emily, but our daughter Amber had classes with her & was on the softball team at UTSA with her. It's very obvious she will be missed by many, but know she will always be with you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I read about the accident and felt compelled to write to the family. You are in my prayers.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to get to know Emily over the last couple of years. I got the chance to play against her and also just hang out and have fun. She was such a talented player and a great person all the way around.

I only met Emily a couple of times, but from what I hear and noticed and she really did hold a special place in everyone's hearts.
