Dear kind and gentle Emily. She wrote many articles of local people and their professions in the Blackfoot(Morning) News. Really missed reading paper after she retired. Bye for now..Love Jody

As a clerk in the district court in Blackfoot I had the opportunity to interact with Emily almost daily. She was an excellent reporter, fairly reporting the facts and showing no bias in her articles. I considered her a friend. We both were mothers of a child with diabetes so we shared our experiences . She is one of the people I missed the most when I left my job with the court system. I know that she dearly loved her family, friends and community. You all are so lucky to have had her for so many years.

Dearest Emily, thank you for raising Michael to be a wonderful person, and for being my wonderful mother-in-law for nearly four decades. How I will miss hearing your voice on your weekly phone calls with Michael, chatting about current events. Your kindness and grace, your wit and wisdom, your love and devotion to family and friends and community a life well lived. You are beautiful inside and out. We’ll see you in the stars and hear you in the breeze.

With love,
Jan

I knew Emily through her close relationship with my Mother, Gloria Dillard. We always had the best conversations when I was in Blackfoot visiting. And I can happily confirm her culinary skills from many excellent dishes she brought by. My mother considered her to be one of her very closest friends, and I always looked forward to her visits. I hope they are together, laughing and snipping over the current state of the world. She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

Oh I am so sorry! Not just for her family, but for all of us, she was such a terrific woman. Oh, how I loved her too, and she kept me cracking up all the time with that dry sense of humor. The only thing I could think of when I read this was at my mom will be the first one at the gates and my dad shortly behind her with 1 million others! My mom loved her so much and she was such a terrific friend to my mom and to me. We talked about so many times going fishing and just never getting it done, I was so glad to hear that she had passed in her sleep ..I know that she is with the creator now and is at peace. I am so sorry of her passing because we’ve lost a lot in such a wonderful woman❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!
