WILLIAMS EMILY E.
Emily E. Williams of Dover died Friday, May 28, 2010. A daughter of the late Charles and Elsa Puskar, she was born in Imperial, Pa. on November 14, 1921. In addition to her parents, Emily was also preceded in death by her husband, John Williams, who died in February of 2005. Emily and John were married in August of 1947. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia and lived in Tuscarawas County since 1992 as a retired educator. She had also volunteered 14 years with Human Services at Every Woman's House in Wooster. She was a charter member of both the Mogadore and Wooster Lady Barbershoppers. In addition to professional memberships, she was endeared to the local Am Vets Ladies Auxiliary New Philadelphia Post 1338. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and attended Penn State. Following graduation she taught school in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene (George) Knowles of Dover; son, Robert (Kitty) Williams of Lake Tahoe, California; grandchildren, Brian and Kim Williams and Michael (Nichole) Knowles; great grandson, Bailey. She is also survived by many cousins in Pennsylvania, California, Arizona and Texas. The TOLAND-HERZIG FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY at Dover with Msgr. George Schlegel having conducted private prayer services. Burial of cremains is to be in New London, Ohio.
