Emma Lee Anderson It is great sadness that Emma Lee passed away on December 16, 2018, two months shy of her 99th birthday. She is survived by her three children Linda Anderson Kahn of Arroyo Grande, Bruce (Marty) Anderson of Paso Robles, and Barry (Clelia) Anderson of Arroyo Grande, and three grandchildren Jorn Anderson, Saegan Anderson and adopted granddaughter April Deleo, as well as a nephew, Gary (Pauline) Smith, of Tulare, one grand nephew Greg Smith of Tulare and one grand niece Gina Smith of Tulare. She was born and raised in Tulare, CA the daughter of Manual and Mary Souza. She was preceded in death by her husband Myron "Andy" Anderson, both of her parents, her sister Helen and several aunts and uncles. Emma Lee married Andy in 1948 and they started out their married life in San Francisco, CA and lived in various places in California as her husband was transferred working for Bank of America, finally moving from Modesto and settling in Arroyo Grande in 1964 where she has resided since. Over the years she was involved in several activities in Arroyo Grande, one of her favorite activities was the 30 years she spent as a volunteer at the Arroyo Grande Hospital, amassing 30,000 volunteer hours. She also volunteered at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church where she, among other things, was an Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Grandmother's Club where she made many lifelong friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Arroyo Grande with interment following at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 6:00 pm on Thurs. January 3, 2019 at Lady Family Mortuary, 555 Fair Oaks Ave. Arroyo Grande, CA., next door to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers.
