Emmy was quite a lady. She was like a mother to me-we laughed and cried together. I am a better person because of all the time we spent together. I will really miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She is in a much better place and finally without pain. Love, Coni

Please accept my profound sympathy on the passing of Miss Emmy.
She is a true lady, an inspiration, a friend and a blessing in my life.
She said on more than one occasion that when this time came she wanted there to be a party with dancing. We did not dance today at the service but it was indeed a celebration of her life.
When she served at the altar as a Lay Eucharistic Minister she administered the chalice with such joy. She is the only one I ever knew to sway and gently move in joyous dance as she did so.
Her happiness, humor and strength remain to guide those of us still here.
May God fill you with peace.

God's blessings and comfort to this family. I spoke to Whit's mom many times about one of our common passions which was the tremendous pride and love we shared for our children. What a fortunate family to have had this wonderful lady as their matriarch.
