Emma Jean Johnson Jamison COLUMBIA - Services for Emma Jean Johnson Jamison will be held 11:00 am Friday at Christian Life Church 2700 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC., with burial in Serenity Gardens in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive this evening from 6-8:00 pm at Palmer Memorial Chapel. Emma was a graduate of C.A. Johnson High School, Class of 1967. She earned a Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. She began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. In the early 70's, she was employed at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, and later worked at the W. A. Perry Middle School as a school nurse until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Christian Life Church and served wherever her gifts and talents were needed. In her spare time, she enjoyed journaling, gardening and caring for many people. Ms. Jamison leaves to cherish precious memories; her daughter Stephenie Maria Jamison-James of the home; two sons, Michael William (Ayanna) Jamison and Sean Christopher Jamison; fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brothers, William Nathaniel Johnson, Jr. and Thomas Gregory Johnson both of Columbia; sisters, Shirley (Russell) David and Yvonne (Richard) Kirk all of Columbia, and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends, who will miss her dearly.
