She and my mother were old friends in Theta. After they both came to Cleveland, My Mother asked her to be my Godmother and our life long relationship began. Rest on GodMa.

Elee's parents lived on my parent's place in Theta, TN. We always called her Tump, but she did not like to be called Tump! She always came to visit us when she came to TN! We always enjoyed seeing her and laughing together! She spent the night with me once, and we visited others in the community of Theta. She went to a church service with me the same time. It was always a joy to be around "Tump"! My sister, Judy, and I talked to her on the phone. She was good to send us birthday cards and Christmas cards

Emma Lee was a truly inspirational person -- she was open and friendly to everyone. I don't believe she ever met a stranger, and she didn't let anything hold her back -- including age. I am truly amazed to learn how old she was.

Emma Lee Johnson-Hendon AKA Peaches, was a long time friend of my parents, Oscar and Edna Hood. After my parents passing, Peaches becamed my friend. Peaches was a "Feisty Lady". Although she was feisty, we had a mutual respect and love for each other, because I would always, with love, speak my truths. I will remember Peaches. All Praises to God, Marie (Tina) Hood
