Emmett Herman Tatum, Jr

Rest in Peace Emmett.

Just heard about Emmett's passing from Harper Smylie. I, along with Harper, worked for Tatum in the early '70s doing residential plumbing work. I have some great stories to tell my grandkids about some of my adventures with Emmett. Emmett got me started in plumbing in Austin and I stayed in or near the plumbing field for the rest of my working life. I have thought of Emmett many times over the years. I'm sorry to hear he's no longer with us.

So sorry to hear about Emmett's passing. I was lead to look him up on the internet and came across his obit. I worked for EHT as an apprentice plumber in Austin back in the '70's. We worked hard; we learned much about business and life. Emmett had an outsized influence on my life. I remember him fondly. He was a good man. May God bless him.
