Enid Howden

HOWDEN, Enid Mary Elizabeth Surrounded by her family, Enid passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord, Thursday, October 26, 2006 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Cyril Frederick "Bill" Howden. Cherished mother of Pamela Jarrett (the late Richard) of Cayuga, Leanna Howden of Edmonton, Bill Howden (Chris) of Caledonia, Jay Howden (Diana) of Ottawa, and Julie Atkinson (Paul) of Caledonia. Enid will be missed by her many grandchildren. Enid was a loving and generous woman whose home was always open not only to friends and family, but to their friends as well. She will be remembered for her self-deprecating sense of humour, which she preserved to the end. Enid set a shining example of faith, service and consideration for others, even on her deathbed expressing concern for the fatigue of her family and caregivers and appreciation for all they did. She always looked for the good in everyone she met. A Memorial Service to celebrate Enid's life was held in Caledonia on October 30, 2006.
