I just read the sad news of Rick's passing. We were classmates together at Williamsport Area High School. Rick and I shared several classes together and I loved his kind, humorous, intelligent nature. I trust he had a happy, productive life in New Orleans. May his light shine on in those who knew and loved him. Heather McGiffin Teleki

My sincere condolences to Rick's family. Rick was a friend who, on a road trip, would allow me to sing along with the music in spite of the fact I cannot carry a tune. In fact he would cheer me on with his big smile and sing right along with me. He was very a special person and I will miss him always.

My condolences to the Testa family. Rick was a person whose presence brought joy, laughter, and a shared love of music into my life for the past 29 years.
Our friendship began in the aisles of a record store. Working side by side, we bonded over our shared passion for music, spending countless hours discovering new artists and debating over classic albums. Music was the glue that held us together, and it continued to be a cornerstone of our friendship, leading us to numerous concerts where we created memories that will forever be etched in my heart.
Living in New Orleans, a city vibrant with culture and soul, Rick and I embraced every moment. We danced through the streets during Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence enjoyed great food at JazzFest basking in the festive spirit and reveling in the community that made this city our home. New Orleans wasn´t just a backdrop to our lives.
Together, we faced one of the most challenging times of our lives during Hurricane Katrina. Surviving that disaster was a testament to our resilience and the strength of our friendship. In the face of adversity, we supported each other, finding hope and courage.. That experience not only reinforced our bond but also taught us the true meaning of friendship and perseverance.
Rick´s kindness, humor, and infectious passion for life touched everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on all of us.
I am saddened I can no longer phone him up, but am filled with gratitude for the time we shared and the memories we created. His spirit will live on in the music we love, the streets of New Orleans, and the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Rest in peace, my dear friend. Jeff
