With indescribable sadness, our family regrets to inform you of the untimely passing of Eric Alper, 58, of Great Neck, New York on June 11th, 2023.

Loving husband of Jeri, father of Brett and Reid, son of Irma and Richard, brother of Joy and Larry Haber and Scott and Randi Alper, son-in-law of Naomi Wank, brother-in-law of Cherie and Jon Meyers and his many nephews and nieces. Eric was a Partner, Deputy General Counsel and Head of Tax, at SkyBridge Capital. Prior to joining SkyBridge, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at U Capital Group, Chief Financial Officer at Weston Capital Management, Vice President of Hedge Fund Accounting at Ivy Asset Management and Vice President & Tax Counsel at Neuberger Berman.

Eric was a graduate of University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, and a lifelong Wolverine! He earned a J.D. from The Washington College of Law at American University, and a LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Eric was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and attorney with the State of New York.

Eric was an active member of the community and an avid all-around athlete. An incredibly compassionate and selfless individual, he was a coach, mentor and role model to so many. Eric touched the hearts of all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 13th, 2023 at Temple Beth El, in Great Neck, New York at 11:30 am. Donations can be made in Eric's memory to StacheStrong and/or the Brain Tumor Foundation in support of brain cancer research.
