Eric Cameron passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 66 years. Eric was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, on August 4, 1950. He had a long career in the communication field, initially as a reporter and later as a public affairs representative for various municipal, provincial, and federal government agencies. He was passionate about politics, military history, gardening, and music of all genres. Eric is survived by his wife Christine Hayward and daughter Elizabeth. Eric was predeceased by his mother Vera Christine Bulmer (née Murray), and step-father George Gordon Bulmer. At Eric's request, no funeral services will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Eric Cameron, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Eric's dedication to all of his causes was noteworthy. I had the pleasure to work with him while he was a Director for the Military Family Resource Centre. He was a true gentleman and an erudite scholar. My sincere condolences.

Through the ANDP I have known and worked with Eric for probably 30 or more years. He was my type of person - he always stood for what he believed and said so with confidence. I'm sorry his postings on Face Book will be gone and I grieve his passing. My condolences to the family. Eric will be missed by us all.
