Eric L. Donelson

Eric L. Donelson 65, of Kokomo passed away at 6:58pm Friday, December 21, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital. Eric was born February 28, 1947 in Kokomo, to the late L. Frank and Betty L. Donelson (Cass). His marriage to Linda Donelson who survives was on October 22, 1976 in Kokomo. Eric worked for Chrysler Corp. for 35 years before retiring. He also worked at P.P.G. as a draftsman. He enjoyed sprint car racing, Kokomo High School Basketball, and fishing. He was a coach for Baseball at Southside, Pal Football, Peewee wrestling, and president of the Wildkat Wrestling Club, he was also involved in Kokomo Quarter Midget Club, and a member of local 685. Survivors include his wife, Linda D. Donelson, four sons; Randy J. Donelson, (Stacy), Douglas S. Persons, (Tracy), Christopher C. Reed, (Meagan), and Derek A. Donelson, (Megan), one brother Jeffery Donelson, (Mary) and one sister Melissa Mayfield, six grandchildren; Conner Donelson, Tayler Persons, Olivia Persons, Jackson Reed, McKenzie Reed, and little Hayden Donelson, two nieces Amanda Donelson and Julie McCrumb, two nephews Patrick and Scott McCrumb. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4pm – 8pm Friday, December 28, 2012 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street. Services will be at 10am Saturday, December 29, 2012 also at the mortuary with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Burial will be in Kokomo Memorial Park.
