My mother (Myrtle) was very good friends and grew up with Eric's mother. I only met Eric when he was quite young. Our entire family was stunned by his untimely passing. From everything I have read, he was one of those rare individuals that never seem to inhabit this earth long enough. Our thoughts and prayers are with Eric's entire family. We pray that you will have the strength to get through this difficult time and will find peace in the good memories that you have.

My sister and brother-in-law Mike and Mollie Langhout knew Eric and his family very well. Eric has had a significant positive impact on their family and Mike in particular. Becasue I am so close to them I feel the grief of loosing such a man-of-God as Eric. Our prayers go out to Eric's family and as we know the charecter of God we'll give Him the glory as we watch how He takes this and somehow turns it into good. Thank you Eric for your work here on earth. There are so many looking forward to seeing you again. I have learned from you and someday look forward to meeting you in person. Say "Hi!" to Jesus for us... thank You!

May comfort and peace be with the Engelstone family. We all are better for having had Eric in our lives. He was our financial advisor but more importantly a family friend. Eric's blessing was a gift from God. Nobody had a better outlook on life, nobody could have been a better family man, nobody could have been a better friend. God rest your precious soul! Our love, Mark and Shannon

Eric was my uncle Eric's best friend in the entire world. He was almost like my uncles other brother they were so close, and I am so sad for the loss. I can remember when I was a little girl following Eric and my uncle Eric around because in my eyes they were about as cool as it got. (They were college boys and I was for sure the twerpy niece, but they always humored me). Through the years I have grown up, and learned alot about friendship from the two of them. It is pretty amazing. When my family went through a really hard time Eric and Shelly were right by my moms side. I just want to thank you Eric for being such an influence in my family's life, and creating such an impact! You will be missed.

Eric - Rest in peace my friend. As someone who grew up with you, goofed off, and went to school with you, I'll never forget our adventures. Skiing, fishing, concerts, and the Magnolia cottage. May God bless you and shine his light on Shelly and your children during this difficult time. May you find peace in heaven and joy in reuniting with your wonderful parents.

Eric added his light to our lives, we are so sad that he is gone. When Eric was in high school and college, we considered him to be the finest example of youth that we knew. He was a role model for my two grade school boys and one summer he agreed to be their "special events" coordinator. We still talk about Norman & Kenneth learning to ride Eric's moped, going to Wild Waves and riding every ride, watching Eric coach some long distance runners, and fishing in the kelp beds off Magnolia. They claim it was the best summer ever!
