Eric Howell Obituary
Born on October 11, 2000, Eric was known for his ever-present smile and friendly demeanor. He was approachable and loved engaging in conversations, which made him well-loved among his peers and community.
Eric pursued a career as a welder, a profession where he applied his skills with precision and dedication.
Beyond his professional life, he was passionate about art and fishing, hobbies that he cherished deeply, providing him moments of joy and relaxation.
Eric leaves behind his loving family: his mother, Nancy Lamb Howell; his father, Steven Louis Howell; and his sisters, Megan Lauren Howell and Elle Kate Howell. He is also remembered by his grandfather, Joe Poutra Lamb; aunts, uncles, and their families, as well as a wide circle of friends who cherished his presence in their lives.
In place of traditional services, dedications and memorials in memory of Eric will be organized at a later date.
Those wishing to honor Eric's memory are encouraged to make contributions to The Foundation for Art & Healing, an organization that aligns with his love for art and its therapeutic benefits.
May Eric's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness and creativity.

I will never forget when I met you Eric. You came to Arclabs(Me) and told me that you watched me on TikTok and you wanted to get the life lesson and the hands on skill of welding to take life by a storm. All the long nights and long conversations we shared you mastered everything I had to offer, my work was done. I dislike the fact that God called you home so soon my man. You will be truly missed and loved not only by family and friends but me as well. I love you Eric, I thank God for allowing us to cross path. I was going through photos and found some of my favorites I want to share. First picture is from 6th grade, eric, lydia, and I had the same teacher; we would all send each other a pic of our photos on the wall and joke with eachother about them, it always made us laugh. Second picture was taken in 8th grade by Mrs. Howell, eric´s whole family has always been so kind and welcoming. This night we were sitting on eric´s family´s trampoline and saw a shooting star pass by and we all got so excited!! Third picture is from a funny night with our friends a few years ago, eric secretly took it on my film camera and told me he "left me a surprise on there and I´d have to wait and see!" it´s now become my most cherished photo of you. Eric, you and I first met when we were in the same second grade class together at a new school and quickly became inseparable for the next five years. You were my partner in crime on the lacrosse field. I´ll never forget the way you were ejected from two different games for having my back after I started a fight. For the countless bike trips to the lakeway market, exhausting hours of lacrosse practice, and the state of the art forts we built, I will never forget the memories you and I made together. You were one of my closest childhood friends and you will be forever missed.

i spent so many afternoons with you at dylan´s house in high school. i would go over there and hangout with you, dylan, asa, and will. your smile and laughter always lit up the room. i loved hanging out with you guys so much and watching you goof around. whether it was watching u guys skate and run around at the skatepark, or just hanging at dylans house for hours talking and being silly- it was always so fun to me. all of you guys always made me feel like i was one of the boys. i tell stories about those days to this day, and i will forever cherish my memories with you. i am sending all my love and prayers to your family. i hope they all feel surrounded by support, because you are so special and made an impact on all of us.

Ian and Nicko were good friends with Eric. I remember carting them around to the skatepark and such. The boys could all do those kick flips too! Eric was always so kind and well mannered. He is loved by many and will be missed. Our hearts and prayers are with you all.

Eric was one of my first friends in middle school. In 6th grade we nicknamed each other Moss and Vanessa because our parents told us those were the names they "almost" named us (we might have made that up). The first day I saw you and Dayne at the skatepark I wanted to be y´all´s friend so bad hahaha. Im glad yall wanted to be friends too Im so thankful for every memory we have. when we found out ab that activated charcoal it was over, Idk if it made our gums darker or teeth whiter but idk I just love that pic. Wish we could wrestle around again and have some more deep conversations on the balcony, I wish we could go back. Thank you for helping me develop the most out of pocket sense of humor, I loved when you showed me something you thought was funny and I couldn´t even see the joke but you´re breathless and smiling ear to ear. I remember when we both had our ruckus´s and we rode em downtown from lakeway goin 40 on a 60 slapping our mopeds going uphill saying "come on baby you got this" trying not to get rear ended by someone. Eric , I don´t even know where to start. You´re one of the first friends I ever had from kindergarten, rode the bus to school every day together in elementary school, to teaching me how to carve the bowl at lake way. The countless memories of skating and building dirt jumps in the woods to just mobbing on our bikes or mopeds. Playing with nerf or airsoft guns with Dayne and Luke. You always made us laugh so much bro. You inspired me to be a happier person. You always had a smile from ear to ear that made people feel warm. Eric, I am so lucky to have grown up with you. Living down the street from each other and growing from kids to teenagers together was so special. From two-hand touch football in your yard, to jumping on your trampoline (I gave myself a black eye trying to do a flip), to exploring down by the creek. We then grew older and began to confide in each other about our teenage love lives. You were truly one of the kindest, loving people I have ever known. The times we shared together mean so much to me. Even after years had passed and we rekindled as young adults, it felt like we were still best of friends like when we were 11. Eric, I mainly knew you through my brother, but I remember how nice you were to me in grade school when it was hard for me to get along with anybody. You even reached out a few times after high school, and found a way to empathize with me even though we were so different. I´ll always appreciate how you treated me and my brother.
